“On any given day, give me any house anywhere and I'll transform it to a home you'll love."

Freely adapted by me from coach Paul “Bear” Bryant’s quote:
“On any given Saturday, I’ll take my team and beat your team. Or, I’ll take your team and beat my team.”

I’m thinking of doing a masterclass or similar where I will explore what it means to make a home that is loved, welcoming and personal. Interior design is just one part.

It's really homemaking but a 'homemaker' is such a disparaging term, I've been thinking I’d like to change that.

These paintings are by Swedish artist Hilma af Klint. If you haven't heard of her I'm sure you soon will. Hilma painted her first abstract canvas in 1906, four years before Kandinsky who was thought to be the movement’s pioneer.

There is a film about her that is soon to be released (see here). Stunning and intriguing works and a fascinating life story.
