The Cellist
The driving concept for this Federation house was to create spaces of silence and noise.
The owner, a cellist for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, required a space for practice as well as quiet contemplation away from the busier family areas of the home. ACD was asked to create a home that was timeless yet contemporary, composed and serene.

ROSEVILLE
A transformation of an existing 1900’s federation bungalow in Sydney.
The character of the front rooms were retained and a new kitchen, family room and study was created at the back of the house. The light material palette that was introduced sits in contrast to the existing darker architecture. The lighting and furniture choices responded to our client’s existing pieces that were reimagined and incorporated in the final design thus creating a contemporary home steeped in history and family memories.
