BRONTE BLUES
BRONTE
Our client, an avid blues fan, wanted a feminine home with a sense of mystique and her treasured artefacts were to be incorporated and displayed throughout. The Lladro sculpture 'Windswept' informed the soft colour palette and was placed on a high shelf to keep watch over the headland. Japanese silk scarves, previously hidden in a drawer, were hand stitched on boards, framed and hung next to "Windswept" in the dining space.
To connect the dining room with the sitting room we created a curved bench seat and positioned the dining table to maximise the gorgeous views over Bronte Beach. A Zanotta sofa from Cult is the centrepiece in the living room where it sits in front of a new mirrored wall and an existing artwork by the late Robert Klein-Boonschate. By opening up the wall between the ensuite and bedroom we brought natural light into the bedroom thereby making the ensuite lighter and more spacious.
